There are more than three quarters of a million electric cars on UK roads. Along with plug-in hybrids, they make up more than half of all new cars sold – we’re officially becoming a nation of electric car owners.
It’s only natural then, that charging cars is a big part of our holiday plans when we hit the road for an escape. That’s why we’re installing chargepoints at more Best Western hotels across the UK, so you can top up your car’s battery while enjoying your getaway.
We can all do our bit to help the environment and reduce our carbon footprint, so we’ve put together a map and helpful guide to make charging your car during your holiday as fuss-free as possible.
To find out if your Best Western hotel has an electric car charger, check our map below. We have installed charge points at more than 60 locations in England, Scotland and Wales and plan on adding more in the near future.
You might be surprised where you find the chargers. We’ve added the stations to all kinds of hotels so you can enjoy a relaxing minibreak or make that all important meeting if you’re travelling for business.
There’s no set price to charge your car at our hotels. Energy prices vary week by week, so we can’t give you an idea about costs on this page, but we’ll make sure they’re fair and competitive.
It might be useful to call your electric car-friendly hotel a few days before you arrive and ask the front desk about current rates.
If you’re staying with us at Inverness Palace Hotel & Spa you can charge your car for free. Very handy after a potentially long trip along the A9.
Don’t worry about running out of juice in the countryside. We’ve added electric car chargers in some of our more remote locations so you can top up your battery off the beaten track.
You’ll also find electric car chargers in our city centre hotels. Forget scrambling for a charging space in town, pull up and plug-in in locations such as Edinburgh City Centre Bruntsfield Hotel.
