By the early 70’s The Sweet were arguably the hottest ticket in town with a string of top ten records in the UK and Europe including Blockbuster, Hellraiser, Ballroom Blitz, Teenage Rampage and The Sixteens. Sweet perfected the art of making memorable records in a highly-competitive era.

Special guest John Otway
John’s first achieved notoriety with his eye-watering performance on Old Grey Whistle Test and subsequent hit single ‘Really Free’ in 1977. A heady mix of blind ambition and rank incompetence was to keep this microstar shining for almost two decades despite Otway’s ability to turn any situation to his own disadvantage.
