The Devil is an Ass

The Devil is an Ass is a comedy written by Ben Jonson, and first performed in 1616 in London by the Kings Men. This is not the same play.

This December DYT Rep Company bring you their very first performance as an ensemble, an adaptation of Jonsons play set in Torbay and inspired by their experiences of growing up in the South Devon area. This comedic approach to a 400 year-old story, will bring audiences into the bay, or at least a version of it as experienced by Pug, a junior Devil trying to prove his worth to Satan. But Pug, stepping into Torbay to wreak havoc, finds that the havoc is already there
