Reading School Inter-House Music Competition 2025.

The House Music Competition is back for its 90th year and remains one of the most anticipated highlights of our school calendar! This annual event is a celebration of our students’ incredible talents, dedication, and hard work. Families, friends and alumni are invited to enjoy a vibrant showcase of music, from ensemble performances to solo acts across all five Houses.

Event Details:

Date: Sunday 23rd November 2025

Time: 15:00 - 19:30

Venue: The Hexagon, Queens Walk, RG1 7QF

What to Expect: Outstanding performances from Junior (Years 7-10) and Senior (Years 11-13) soloists. A variety of ensemble performances, including large and small groups, featuring music from films. Programmes designed by our students, available at the event.

Ticket Prices:

Arena Centre, Arena Left, Arena Right: £24 adults; £14 children

Stalls Centre: £26 (no concession available)

Balcony Centre: £18 adults; £12 children (All arena and stall seats should be sold before any balcony seats are opened.)

Important Notes:

1. Students performing do not need to purchase tickets.

2. Ticket prices include a £2 booking fee charged by the venue.

3. Please note there is no lift access to the balcony.

4. Families in receipt of Pupil Premium may request two discounted tickets for seats in the Arena Centre, Arena Left, or Arena Right. For details, please email events@reading-school.co.uk
