St Austell Festival of Children's Literature

St. Austell Festival of Literature is back in June 2025 for another weekend of books, authors and fun!

Between 13-14th June, Cornwall will come alive with story-related activities during our Family and Schools Days. You can learn about the magical world of minibeasts from Midnight Marnie creator Laura Ellen Anderson, create your own veggie super hero with co-creator of Supertato Sue Hendra, unleash your inner inventor with Kate Pankhurst and so, so much more.

Family Day is open to everyone for just £1.00 and will include interactive readings, workshops, storytelling sessions and events inspired by your favourite books! On Schools Day, look forward to hearing from amazing authors like A.F. Steadman, who wrote the bestselling Skandar series, Anika Hussain, author of Heartbreaker, and Channel 4's Fur Babies presenter, Dr James Greenwood with his new book How to Talk to Your Pet.
