Barnet Medieval Festival

Now at a new and larger venue! Enjoy London and the Home Counties’ very own spectacular annual medieval festival, recreating the dramatic Wars of the Roses and the decisive Battle of Barnet, fought in 1471 between King Edward IV and Warwick the King maker.

The festival features around 500 participants from the Wars of the Roses Federation and friends, House of Bayard and Freelance, with ladies and knights in armour on horseback, foot soldiers, battle re-enactments, cannon firing and archery, living history encampments, minstrels, music and dance, C15th cooking, craft demonstrations, entertainments, medieval market and community stalls, Knight School for children, have a go archery, axe throwing, food and drink including bars, plus book signing and an exhibition of beautiful medieval paintings by renowned artist Graham Turner. A fabulous full day out for everyone! The Festival is being held right next to Lewis of London's Ice Cream Farm so indulge yourselves!
