Live at the Foyer - Millie Watson & Giles Halski

Live at the Foyer is a Sounds of Salisbury event designed to showcase talented musical acts in an acoustic live lounge environment.
Bringing together acts from outside of Salisbury with performers from our own bustling music scene, these events will provide superb musical entertainment along with some interview segments so that our audiences can really get to know the performers.
MILLIE WATSON was raised by Festival Traders, so she spent her childhood summers travelling around the UK festival circuit. Bunking off School to kick of the season at Glastonbury, Millie had little choice but to be emersed in a rich soup of music and culture.
In between School and Festivals, Millie and her Dad were a regular on the Kent folk club scene. A safe haven for the old, tortured and sinical, Millie learnt her songwriting from the best.
Now based in Bournemouth, Millie's music is deeply imbedded in folky roots. With her silky voice and husky tones she plays a range of melodies for the hopeless, and hopeful. Her raw honesty and warm stage presence leaves audiences melted and disarmed. Her debut album, 'Heartstrings and Bones' was released in July 2025.
GILES HALSKI is a singer/songwriter from Salisbury with a sound that spans and captures lyrical intellect and serpentine melodies, creating catchy, eccentric songs.
Giles began playing guitar when he was 13 years old and has never thought about anything else since. In his youth he sang in choirs and quickly shined as the popular soloist with both his choristers and audience. When he left college at 18 he began songwriting and received popular approval from friends and critics, likening his songwriting and sound to the likes of Jack Johnson.
He has toured Europe and the UK in the past, but has also been a part of several musical acts, including the celebrated Christy Moore tribute duo, 'More Christy' and local folk rock/metal act 'Bluestone Arc.
