Burns Night Ceilidh, United Kingdom, 2026

Burns Night Ceilidh

Burns Night Supper was first held in 1802 by the friends of Robert Burns, five years after his death. Little did they know that night that they set in motion a global phenomenon, with one of the main ingredients dancing!

Come and join us for an exhilarating night of dancing and merriment.

Music on the night will be performed by the talented SITKA which features musicians from Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. After meeting up regularly over the last couple of years to share tunes and perform at weddings and parties, Martha Carrdus (fiddle), Molly Adcock (fiddle), Nathan Landon (bouzouki) and Dan Lyst (bodhrn) decided to form a band. Inspired by the likes of Blazin' Fiddles, Jenna Reid, and Fara, SITKAs repertoire involves exciting arrangements of new and old folk tunes. Dont worry if you dont know the dances - not only is he a great musician, Nathan will also take you through each dance step-by-step. Youll be a pro by the end of the night!
