Platform '96 & Saviour Management presents Black Orchid Empire with local support in Brighton! Black Orchid Empire create dense, powerful rock music that combines fearless complexity, aggressive heaviness and beautiful, hook-laden melody.
With a gargantuan sound and energetic live performance, the three-piece hailing from London have been unleashing their ferociously tight show across Europe, including a UK tour with HED p.e, several headline runs and much-lauded appearances at Standon Calling, Planet Rockstock, Camden Rocks Festival and Taubertal Festival in Germany amongst others.
Having played alongside heavyweights such as Biffy Clyro, Editors and Skunk Anansie and with a dedicated, growing fanbase, Black Orchid Empire demand your attention.
Brighton-born duo Wrex make electro-charged alternative rock to turbocharger heartbeats, snap necks and fill both dancefloors and moshpits. Shades of punk, nu-metal, pop and trance colide and coalesce but never clash; a wild explosion of riffs and synths that pulls from influences as diverse as While She Sleeps, Faithless and Linkin Park. This is the WREX blueprint: a fierce, all-enveloping wall of sound with little time for music's outdated boundaries or conventions; creativity, joy and emotions unbound.
Bones Ate Arfa is a UK psychedelic street punk/desert rock three-piece made up of Bones (guitar), 8 (drums), and Arfa (vocals & bass). Once described as “Junkyard dog riffs” after the release of their debut single ‘Asbestos’, they have since gained recognition online and in person from Artists such as Muse, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Isaac Holman (SOFT PLAY), Royal Blood, Tigercub, cool sorcery, Demob Happy, and Bad Nerves.
While attaining a respectable following on social media, they have received spins and features on BBC Radio 6, Radio X, Dork, Earmilk, Louder Than War, and have successfully burned their stamp into the UK’s southern gig circuit, all in under two years.
Chvpters are the newest heavy-hitters in the metal scene. The quintet released their debut single "YOU" in the early stages of 2024 hitting BBC introducing only a few days after release - also getting them booked with "Knife Bride", "Kid Bookie", "Blue Eyed Giants". Just less than 6 months since their debut Chvpters are back with their latest single "ACTRESS" which takes the bands unique sound to greater lengths than before.
Completing the lineup is Spooky Huge, is an alt-rock band blending the raw intensity of hard rock with the gritty edge of grunge. Their latest singles have been produced by Erik Miles, who has previously collaborated with Kate Nash & Soft Play.
The event has been organised by Platform ’96, a one-person start-up revolutionising the music scene by providing a Launchpad for emerging artists. With a hands-on approach, Platform ’96 is rapidly gaining trust in London and Brighton, expanding to new horizons. Since its launch, they’ve organised successful gigs in iconic venues like The Water Rats, and a sold-out event at Hope & Anchor. Their initiative gained national and international recognition when organising the London debut of Theodor Andrei, Romania’s Eurovision 2023 representative. Their involvement in the Brighton leg of Black Orchid Empire’s wide UK Tour will set the stage for an unforgettable 2025 in promoting upcoming bands.
