Herning City Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

A hotel has stood on the corner of Bredgade and Skolegade in Herning since 1896.

Back then it was called the Herning Missionshotel or Herning Temperance Hotel – and it was on two stories with an adjoining stable for traveler’s. Subsequently, the Herning City Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western grew considerably with two additional stories added, while the stable building became redundant and demolished. By the 1990s, the temperance hotels had had their day, and the hotel was therefore transformed into a ‘garni’ hotel, a hotel that only serves breakfast, with rooms and a breakfast room, where the focus is on providing a very high standard of personal service.
