Shrewsbury is a historic town in Shropshire, England. It is near to Wales and the Welsh border and close to the large conurbations of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Telford.
The lovely town is listed among the largest in Britain, but it has a large rural hinterland that is close to the Welsh border. The town had a population of 38,325 as of 2020.
The Quarry Park
Quarry Park is in Shrewsbury City Centre and alongside the River Severn. You can enter using the grand entrance from the city centre at the top of the hill.
There are plenty of paths to walk along so you’re able enjoy the scenery, you will also find a play area, coffee shop and an ice cream stall.
Attingham Park
Attingham Park is a country house built in the 1780's located near Shrewsbury. Highlights of the house include the picture gallery, the boudoir and the dining room. The National Trust run many different tours through out the year covering different periods of the house's history including one of only two places you can see inside a bee house!
The formal gardens include a walled garden with an acre and a half of organic fruit and vegetables, a three-acre orchard and three large greenhouses.
